Plastic clated metal

Plastic coated metal

产品详情

1. bonding

TPE is bonded to plastic by injection molding. This bonding is mainly the hot-melt adhesive of TPE itself. There is no mutual erosion of the two materials at the coating interface. TPE and metal coating are also adhesive. However, metal and TPE cannot be directly adhered, and the metal surface needs to be coated before being coated with a layer of TPE soft material. The coating on the metal surface acts as a medium, thereby achieving TPE and metal coating.

2. fusion

Fusion refers to the erosive bonding of TPE and coated parts at the coating interface at high temperatures. Generally occurs between TPE and plastic parts with close polarity and compatibility. During injection molding, TPE and plastic are entangled with each other at the coating interface. Microscopically, the two materials are intertwined at the molecular chain level. At the macro level, the material penetrates through the interface at high temperatures to produce excellent bonding force at the coating interface.

3. Embed

Sometimes TPE is not fast enough with plastic or other materials. It can be used as holes at the appropriate position of the parts to be covered, and the surface can be rough, uneven, and grooved. This can increase the bonding strength of the TPE material and the covered part.

4. Adsorption

Occurs between TPE and some more polar polyesters with higher melting points. Although TPE is polar modified, it is still difficult to cause erosion and penetration with polyester plastics. There is only an intermolecular force, which makes TPE and polyester plastics have a certain adsorption at the interface.

5. Parcel

TPE completely covers the entire surface of the rubber part (workpiece). Because it is a whole package, there is no problem of being unable to cover it. However, for some parts with irregular and angular surfaces, it is recommended to use a higher hardness TPE material, so that the TPE and the part are more firmly combined. With the above-mentioned various coating mechanisms, TPE and most plastics such as PP, PC, ABS, PA, PS, PE, POM (polyoxymethylene), wood, and metal can be coated.
